Introducing Latam-GPT - A language model made in Latin America, for Latin America

  • San Francisco, CA United States (map)

General-purpose AI models are trained on the world’s data, but they don't see the world through our eyes. For Latin America, the "one-size-fits-all" approach to AI often results in cultural erasure, linguistic bias, and a lack of local context. In this session, we sit down with Dr. Omar Florez, a leading voice in regional AI, to discuss the development of Latam-GPT—the first collaborative large language model designed from and for the region.

Takeaways: A deep understanding of the AI landscape in Latam, the technical framework behind Latam-GPT, and a vision for how localized models will redefine the region’s relationship with technology.
